SALTILLO, MEXICO
I ventured to Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico -- ‘Tierra de Dinosaurios’ or Land of the Dinosaurs for three days. Saltillo is 1,540 miles south of Westfield and almost 200 miles south of the border, and filled with some of the brightest faces and biggest hearts I’ve ever met.

The team and I met with the General Manager at the Saltillo IMMI facility before I was then tasked with filming and photographing our team members and getting real life footage of them in action. I also needed to find areas where we could potentially put up more corporate signage to help direct with traffic and relay messages to the building.

‘Cada uno de ustedes debe usar cualquier regalo que hayan recibido para servir a otros, como mayordomos fieles de la gracia de Dios en sus diversas formas.’ // ‘Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.’
1 Peter 4:10
The next day we took a trip to Cristo Vive, Casa de Rescate – Christ Lives, Rescue House. Their tagline is ‘Transformando Vidas’, or ‘Transforming Lives’. For the past 19 years, Cristo Vive has been a safe place for those struggling with drug and alcohol addictions where they can turn to Christ with their struggles and have a second chance. Currently they have about 960 residents, hopeful of that new path. IMMI serves at Cristo Vive almost every visit down to our facility in Saltillo. It is a wonderful reminder of our core values.

Overall, this trip was such a fantastic experience and I am so blessed to have been a part of it as an intern. It is so important to serve the community and give back utilizing my professional skills; it was a very humbling adventure and one that I will remember for a lifetime.
